The Supreme Court of India is actively addressing several controversies surrounding the NEET-UG 2024 exam. Key developments include the Supreme Court pausing all NEET-related cases in various High Courts and issuing notices to the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Central Government, seeking responses to allegations of exam malpractices and paper leaks
During a recent hearing, the Supreme Court addressed 14 petitions, 10 of which were filed by students and student groups, with the rest from the NTA. The court’s actions stem from concerns about the integrity of the NEET-UG 2024 exam, including allegations of leaked question papers and inconsistencies in the evaluation process
Despite these issues, the Supreme Court has declined to halt the ongoing NEET counselling process. The court emphasized the need to address the allegations but stated that counselling should proceed to avoid further disruption for students seeking admission to medical courses
